Winter clothing, transfers, snowmobile instructions and safari 2 per- sons per eSled, driving time approx. 1,5-2 hours, sausage grilling, flat bread, hot drinks and pastry, guiding in English.

Safari Clothing Recommendation:

The best way to dress up for eSled safari is to dress in layers. If there is not enough clothing, your hands and feet will cool down first and gradually the whole body.

Aurora eMotion always provides a helmet and a proper, warm winter clothing: (jacket, trousers, boots, woolen socks, mittens, balaclava and scarf) for the eSled – Safari.

eSled – Electric Snowmobile Safari:

A truly unique experience The eSled – electric snowmobile is an innovative new way to experience the Arctic splendor without disturbing the silent peace of wintry nature. We are the first company in the world offering electric snowmobile safaris, a sustainable way of experiencing and exploring the purity and silence of the Lappish nature.

Driving a snowmobile Each person driving a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving license (B). Please remember to take your driving license with you. Finnish law prohibits driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or any other intoxicating drug.

Two persons per snowmobile. For groups of 3 persons or other odd number of people, we highly recommend purchasing one single driver supplement.

Snowmobile driver is held liable for any damages caused to the vehicle. Personal self-liability is max. 990 €/person/snowmobile/case of accident. Payment is to be paid at the spot in Aurora eMotion’s safari house by cash or credit card.

Children Child prices apply to children aged 4-14 years. In snowmobile programs children less than 140 cm travel in a sleigh pulled by a guide. Children over 140 cm are allowed to sit on the snowmobile as passengers when paying the adult price.

Other notes:

As the responsible safari organizer, Aurora eMotion reserves the right to change the routing, schedules, duration or the content of the program if necessary, due to prevailing weather conditions, safety reasons and the comfort of the participants. Aurora eMotion also reserves the right to interrupt the safari if a participant is seen as a potential danger to him/herself or to others or is in poor health. If the weather is -20C or below, Aurora eMotion reserves the right to transfer the children to venues by car in our eSled safaris.

Time spent on transfers is not included in the safari duration.

Pregnant women Aurora eMotion doesn't recommend use of the snowmobile or sledge pulled by the snowmobile for pregnant women. Driving generates vibration depending on trail condition which can be harmful. If the program requires special organisation (e.g. additional transport), client is responsible for the possible extra costs.

Liability insurance Aurora eMotion has a valid liability insurance required by Finnish law. Aurora eMotion recommends that you also take personal travel insurance.

Motor liability insurance We have motor insurance in all our programs with motor vehicles. Compensation for damages or injury resulting from a road accident shall be covered by the valid Motor Liability Insurance of the vehicle that caused the accident.

Other Injuries Aurora eMotion highly recommends personal travel insurance. Aurora eMotion is not liable for any accidental damage or injury which has to be indemnified under the travel insurance of a customer. eSled – safaris can be physically demanding. If the client has illnesses or disabilities (heart disease, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, back or hip problems etc.) that could affect client’s ability to take part in the program, or if she is pregnant, she/he should consult medical experts about her/his ability to participate in the Service in question before participating any Services. In case the client has illnesses or disability of this nature, he/she acknowledges that he/she participates in the Service at his/her own risk.

Force Majeure If a contracting party is prevented from performing under this agreement or obligations otherwise based on the agreement, because of the situation beyond their control, external factors or exceptional barrier, which cannot reasonably be expected to have taken into account (such as war, fire, natural disaster, death, public transport, air transport (does not apply to scheduling delays), payment, telecommunications or electricity supply interruption) the contracting parties obligation under the contract stops on both sides till the duration of the force majeure.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the Finnish Law. Any disputes to be solved primarily through negotiation, but if no agreement is reached then the dispute settled by The District Court of Lapland, Rovaniemi. The Finnish Courts shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute, controversy or claim related to such a demand.

Severability In case of any part, term or provision of these terms and conditions is partly or wholly held invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity or enforceability of other provisions, extent part and remainder of these terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect.
