Silence of Sauna

A private sauna experience for a group size of 1-4 participants. Maximum 6 persons possible, please select extra persons during checkout for 100€/per person.

Come and experience a relaxing and indulgent Finnish sauna experience at our farm in Marrasjärvi. We are located in a small village, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The nearest neighbor is about 15 km away. It’s about 60 km from Rovaniemi center to our property, and on a drive of less than an hour, you’ll get to see the true Lapland behind the city.

Your experience begins when our warm and friendly staff picks you up from the city center of Rovaniemi and we start our journey towards Kotatuli’s home farm. As you get closer to the farm,  the roads become smaller and more bumpy. You will travel along a narrow forest road to reach our yard, where you may see reindeer, grouse, and foxes. Your privacy is guaranteed when you visit us.

Our journey ends at the Kotatuli home farm, where you can begin your relaxing and unforgettable sauna experience. Our friendly and warm staff will guide you to the traditional Finnish wooden sauna cottage by the lake. At the sauna, we will show you how to use the Finnish wood sauna and tell you about all the possibilities during your experience.

You have about 2 hours to sauna and take a dip in the lake of Marrasjärvi. Taking a dip in the water will awaken your body and prepare you for complete relaxation. In the sauna, you have the opportunity to experience a skin-softening herbal foot bath. You will also have access to a facial mud mask and eco-friendly, high-quality cleaning products. It’s important to stay hydrated during your sauna experience, so refreshing drinks and snacks are always available for you.

After sauna and swimming, we’ll take you back to the center of Rovaniemi. You can continue your evening or jump straight into the soft sheets. Restful and peaceful sleep is guaranteed.

During summer you also have the opportunity to swim with horses. At Kotatuli it’s possible to take a dip in the fresh Lake Marrasjärvi directly from the horse’s back.

During the winter season, the dark and private Marrasjärvi is an idyllic place to spot the Northern Lights and immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of Lapland. During winter, ice hole is made in the lake. You can experience Finnish ice swimming in the lake of Marrasjärvi”

Requirements
