- Arctic Circle Hiking area. Located app. 20 km from Rovaniemi city centre. Arctic Circle Hiking area is the first official hiking area in Lapland and has trails for long and short hikes.

- Pyhä-Luosto National Park is Rovaniemi’s closest national park. It is located app. 1,5 hours drive away from the city and has trails of many levels and lengths.
