Hotel Vartiosaari – The Aurora Island

Welcome to a unique island in the middle of the River Kemijoki. Hotel Vartiosaari is located only 10 minutes’ drive from Rovaniemi city centre and Rovaniemi Airport.

It offers a truly unique experience of Arctic nature away from the city lights. Enjoy the peace and quietness of very own island. Sit by a open fire in the evenings and enjoy the sounds of nature. Admire the ancient dance of the Northern lights in the winter. And wonder at the midnight sun in the summer. There is a 72 metre suspension bridge between the mainland and the island.

HOTEL:

11 rooms / total 36 beds (+possible extra beds), decorated in Finnish design classics.
Breakfast is included in the prices.

RESTAURANT KOTA:

Maximum capacity up to 50 people.
The tall building resembles a Lapp hut and there is an open fire in the middle of the restaurant.

PARKING:

Free private parking is possible on site for our hotel quests. Reservation is not needed.

INTERNET:

WiFi is available in the hotel rooms and is free of charge.

SAUNA:

Wood fired riverside sauna for 6 persons can be booked for the private use.

Modern Finnish sauna for 15 persons is free of charge for the certain hours in the evenings. Also possibility to book for the private use.
