Rovaniemi Theater

The theatre organises everything ranging  from club evenings to children’s theatre. The Rovaniemi Theatre’s performance season runs from September to May. The theatre’s programme includes world-famous classics as well as local-themed performances and everything in between. During the performance year, Rovaniemi Theatre reaches over 30,000 customers in Rovaniemi and the municipalities of Lapland through touring performances.

The theatre has three different stages: the Saivo basement theatre, the Kero attic stage and the grand Tieva stage. Club nights and other performances are held in the basement theatre Saivo, which is surrounded by a relaxed and comfortable restaurant atmosphere. The Kero attic stage offers children’s performances as well as exciting and thought-provoking works in an intimate stand with a capacity of around 70 people. The grand Tieva stage, on the other hand, offers large concerts, magnificent musicals and other spectacular performances. The grand Tieva stage can accommodate almost 400 people.

The theatre’s own theatre shop is also located within the theatre, in connection with the ticket shop. The theatre shop offers products related to both Lappia House and the theatre’s performances. The theatre shop’s offerings include design products, textiles, cards, jewellery and much more. Our theatre shop supports northern expertise and radiates the timelessness of the late architect Alvar Aalto.

Everyone is welcome to every performance. All of the theatre’s customer spaces and stages are accessible. Rovaniemi Theatre is also one of the most hearing-friendly theatres.
