Kotatuli Forest Lodge

Kotatuli is a small family business run by family and friends together. Our values include nature and the well-being of people and animals.

We offer B&B accommodation for 1-7 people in the main building and a private cottage for 1-4 people in the courtyard, in the middle of the pine trees. The price includes breakfast, bedclothes and sheets, and use of the beach sauna as agreed. The possibility to buy food services and prepare food yourself in the main house. In addition to your own room, you have a shared bathroom, kitchen and living room. In addition, the hut in the yard and  the yard sauna can be used by guests as agreed.

The traditional Finnish log house is located 57 km from the center of Rovaniemi, by the lake and in the middle of the forest, in a beautiful natural location. The main house was built in 1934 and is made of solid logs in the traditional Finnish way.
There is no permanent settlement nearby, and the nearest neighbor is about 11 kilometers away. Municipal technology does not reach us, so the tap comes with genuine spring water. The best way to get there is with your own car. You can also ask about our transport service. Free parking in the yard.

There is a beautiful view of the lake from the window of the main house. There is an idyllic sauna cabin on the lake shore, which guests can use as agreed. There is also a hut made of gray logs in the courtyard area, where you can light a fire yourself and make coffee or prepare a meal. The hut’s benches are lined with warm reindeer blankets and an open fire burns in the middle.

Our family includes dogs and horses, which are friendly and used to visitors. However, we hope that if you want to get to know the animals, you will only do so with a member of our human family. Unfortunately, we cannot accept animal guests, lest our herd be exposed to changes in herd dynamics. The accommodation is not suitable for people with animal allergies.
