Arctic Art Exhibition

This year’s theme is Arctic Art. The theme is connected to Lapland, while also being accessible and understandable to visitors from outside the region. It aims to highlight local culture. Artistic interpretation is completely open, and the only limit is the artist’s own imagination.

The artworks will be displayed mainly in the vicinity of the parking area. The Finnish Red Cross (SPR) will take part in the opening event, which will be held on 12 September from 3–5 pm. The opening is also part of the Night of the Arts -event. During the opening, there will be a workshop in the exhibition area where participants can make birds out of jute string, accompanied by music.

The exhibition will be open until the end of September.

The event is organised by Maahiset Visual Arts Association, in cooperation with Lapland Visual Arts Association Palas and the Rovaniemi District of the Finnish Red Cross. The opening event will also feature performances by the Ukrainian vocal ensemble Obereg.
