5.-25.9. The longest exhibition in the Arctic. Ounasvaara.
During the Rovaniemi week, the Arctic’s longest natural art exhibition, organized in cooperation by Kuvataideyhdistys Maahiset ry, Lapland art association Palas, Ounasvaara Latu ry and the cultural office of the city of Rovaniemi, will be exhibited. Everyone is welcome to participate in the exhibition. The theme of the exhibition this year is My Rovaniemi.
The exhibition will be hung on the terrain of Ounasvaara to adapt to the exercise paths. The length of the exhibition is a whopping kilometer! Strings are strung between the trees, on which the works are hung with clothes pegs. The exhibition combines culture and nature, and visitors to the exhibition can enjoy the well-being effects of both. The exhibition is easily accessible on foot, and compared to last year, the accessible section is longer.
The opening of the exhibition will be celebrated along the trail on Monday, September 5. at 6 p.m., when the program includes music and short greetings from the organizers of the exhibition.
