SOLD OUT! Sami Hedberg’s 20th Anniversary Tour Reaches Its Grand Finale This Fall!
Celebrating 20 years in comedy, Sami Hedberg’s anniversary tour will culminate this autumn with 22 performances. The tour, which began in March at Helsinki’s Aleksanterin Theatre, has been a great success, with most shows sold out.
“Stand-up came into my life out of the blue when I participated in the Get up, stand up competition in 2005. I got hooked after the first laughs, and that was the beginning of this journey. Winning gave me confidence and an incredible excitement that fueled my dreams—bigger and bolder every time,” Hedberg recalls of his career’s beginnings.
Since then, Hedberg has steadily climbed to the top of the Finnish stand-up scene through his own production company, Hedberg Live, producing thousands of events across the country. One of the pivotal moments in his early career was the transition from performer to headlining artist with his first full-length solo show Kokovartalomies (The Full-Body Man), which was released on DVD in 2009 and turned into a successful touring series.
Career highlights include a sold-out show at Hartwall Arena in 2013, the record-breaking 365 Tour in 2015 (365 performances in one year, still listed in the Guinness World Records), and the first-ever stand-up show at Tampere’s Nokia Arena in 2023.
In addition to stand-up, Hedberg’s career has branched out into film and television (Luokkakokous movies, winner of Masked Singer Finland), but his heart remains on the stand-up stage.
“I’ve always seen myself performing at age 70—so there’s at least another 20 years to come,” Sami shares about his future.
