Children’s Aalto Project’s Exhibition at Rovaniemi Art School

At Rovaniemi Art School, teachers and students have collaboratively developed the Children’s Aalto model. Its purpose is to offer architecture education tasks and workshops for children, young people, and families of different ages. The aim of the project is to introduce Aalto’s design work in engaging and accessible ways. The exhibition features student works from various stages of the model’s development.

During Alvar Aalto Week, workshops and guided tours will be organized for children, youth, and their families in Rovaniemi. A digital publication of the Children’s Aalto model will be released by the end of 2025 and made available for nationwide use.

Rovaniemi Art School’s curriculum emphasizes media art. In addition to design and construction techniques, the Children’s Aalto model will include digital and media-based approaches as part of architecture and design education.

Opening hours: Mon–Thu 3:30–6:00 PM, Fri 3:00–5:00 PM
