Rock Climbing Adventure

Rock climbing is a beautiful sport which we believe should be made available for everyone to experience. Not only do you get to try this sport but it introduces a new way to appreciate nature in all of its greatness. On this trip we will drive you 35 minutes north from Rovaniemi to an amazing location in the middle of nowhere.

Upon arrival to the rock face, we will discuss safety with you. Here we will set up a few lines and give you a chance to test your skills. Your professional climbing guide will demonstrate how to belay and give you a good understanding of call the equipment and how it works. The guide will then climb to the top to set up the ropes, this may take 10-20 minutes. Then you'll warm up those fingers and get climbing. 

Climbing routes can be easy, moderate or hard, depending on your stamina, experience and on the routes chosen. You may be able to tackle 5 or more climbs, but it may also be difficult for you to complete one route. There is no super easy climbing, else you would be walking. 🙂

Some routes require strength, some require problem solving, agility and balance. One of the best parts of rock climbing is that you can spend hours trying to find a way to reach one hold which is one inch too far! But how you get there is entirely down to your determination.

This is a great way to learn about a new sport, test your confidence and strength in a new different scenario. You do not require any super strength, as the best climbers are versatile and adapt to situations using their balance rather than brute strength. This is why climbing is for everyone. This climbing trip is one to allow you to experience climbing and to feel comfortable in this wonderful outdoor environment.

Requirements

Bring plenty of snacks and water, hot drinks and suitable clothing. There may be mosquitoes, it may rain or it could be extremely hot. Please ensure you check the weather forecast prior to attending the tour.
