REINDEER FARM VISIT TO LANKOJÄRVI

Experience an experiential trip to a reindeer farm, where you can get to know the life of a reindeer farm. We visit an authentic reindeer farm in Lankojärvi, where you have the opportunity to visit the reindeer fence, feed the reindeer, take pictures of the reindeer and get to know them as animals.

Reindeer is an antlered deer with heat-insulating fur. Thanks to it, the reindeer can withstand the cold northern winters. Reindeer food includes e.g. lichen, tree leaf buds, grasses, berries and mushrooms. You can give them some of these as treats.

When the reindeer have had their treat, we move to the hut, where we enjoy sooty pot coffee by the campfire while listening to the care of the semi-wild reindeer.
