Reindeer Farm Visit to Lankojärvi and Northern Lights Experience

First we experience an experiential trip to a reindeer farm, where you can get to know the life of a reindeer farm. We visit an authentic reindeer farm in Lankojärvi, where you have the opportunity to visit the reindeer fence, feed the reindeer, take pictures of the reindeer and get to know them as animals.

Reindeer is an antlered deer with heat-insulating fur. Thanks to it, the reindeer can withstand the cold northern winters. Reindeer food includes e.g. lichen, tree leaf buds, grasses, berries and mushrooms. You can give them some of these as treats.

When the reindeer have had their treat, we move to the hut, where we enjoy soot pot coffee by the campfire while listening to the care of the semi-wild reindeer.

After visiting the reindeer farm, we move about 15 minutes away to the wilderness lake to enjoy the peace of the wilderness lake while admiring the northern lights without the city lights. Feel the athmosphere of Lapland evening and night and enjoy beautiful northern lights.

During the evening we will enjoy Lappish nightless night in nature. We will make sooty pot coffee and sausages with open fire and we will warm up traditional wooden sauna if you wish. In addition to watching northern lights you can walk on snowshoes as well.

This tour is suitable for people of all ages who enjoy being in nature. Northern Lights Experience is customizable to your needs. Start time is customizable as well.

All tours are limited to small groups. Private group possibilities.
