Snowshoeing is a great way to experience Lapland’s wintry wildernesses, enjoy the fresh and clean air, and get some exercise. People in the Arctic have been using snowshoes already for centuries, and they were intended to assist people in traveling the snowy landscapes. After a 20-minute transfer we will arrive to the wilderness area, where you will get all the equipment you need, and then we head for the forest trails. Using snowshoes is easy, you don’t need to be a skilled skier to learn what snowshoe hiking is all about – a reasonably good balance and warm clothing is all you need. During the trip there will be a break to make an open fire where we enjoy hot chocolate drink and sweet buns in the lovely wintry atmosphere.
The tour starts and ends in Wild Nordic Safari Center (Joulupukintie 1) located next to Santa Claus Village. You can skip the return transfer and continue your visit to Santa.
