How about a walk with reindeer? 

We offer a fun 1-hour outing where you get to walk the Farmyard’s reindeer through the forest near Santa Claus Village. You start off with your guide at the Farmyard.  First we give some food for the reindeer. You can take all the pictures you want along the way. Children over 15 may walk a reindeer by themselves; younger children will need an adult to help them.

A maximum of 2 reindeer can go for a walk at a time, if there are at least 4 paying people. 2 person/1 reindeer.

Reindeer are semi-wild animals so walking may not be as easy as with a dog. The reindeer have a lot of power and the horns are big and sharp so you have to be careful too.

Reindeer moss. You can buy moss at the time of booking and feed to reindeer which is a delicacy for reindeer but also an important food for them. 

Please wear clothes and shoes suitable for the weather and forest. 

You will have a chance to see the Farmyard’s other animals on your own. You can use our Lapland hut (kota) and campfire/barbecue. Buy snacks and drinks from the elf’s store.

Please come to the farmyard we’ll meet you there. Each participant needs a ticket of €70.

Requirements

Warm clothing and good shoes. There are also damp places on the route.

Attention

• Each participant needs a ticket of €70.
• The activity is not suitable for children under 7, who may find it difficult to cover the entire distance. 
• Reindeer are semi-wild animals so walking may not be as easy as with a dog. The reindeer have a lot of power and the horns are big and sharp so you have to be careful too.
• Elf's Farmyard is located on the Arctic Circle in Santa Claus Village. Visit through Joulumaantie. North side parking area 50 meters walk. You can come by car, taxi or bus number 8. If you are staying in the Santa Claus Village you can easily walk to the Elf's Farmyard.
