Evening Snowshoe Hike in the Arctic Circle Wilderness

Open your senses and experience the silence of the forest by snowshoeing by night. The reflection of the snow, the stars and the moon give us light as we find our way through the darkness of the beautiful Lappish forest. With only a 20-minute transfer from the city lights, one can enjoy the fresh clean air of the wilderness, get some exercise, admire the beauty of the snow white forest, and hopefully view the northern lights. About halfway through the safari we make a stop and the guide will light a campfire. Warm snacks and drinks will be served and stories about the northern lights shared. Duration of the program is 2 hours 30 minutes, including transfers.

What’s included

• Return transfers from Rovaniemi city center hotels
• Use of thermal clothing during the safari (thermal overall, boots, gloves, woolen socks, and a scarf)
• Snowshoes and guidance on their use
• Hot chocolate, sweet buns and stories of the northern lights are enjoyed around an open campfire
• Guidance is in English, other languages on request

Attention

– Minimum of 2 persons paying the adult price

– Available daily at 19:00 from 01.12 – 14.03 and daily at 20:00 from 15.03 – 31.03

– Operated from 1st of December to 31st of March

– Will not be operated in insufficient snow conditions
