Let's open the Christmas season together with Santa Claus
Rovaniemi is the hometown of Santa Claus and it is christmassy all year round.
The highlight of the year is though at the end of November, when the christmas
season is opened officially by the most famous citizen of Rovaniemi. Many elves,
citizens and tourists take also part in the festivity.

At 4-5 pm Traditional Grand Christmas Opening in the Central plaza of the Santa Claus Village
Bus no 8 from Rovaniemi Railway Station via city centre to Santa Claus Village
at 13.05, 14.05 and 15.05.
Back from Santa Claus Village to city at 17.05, 17.30 and 18.05.
