Let's wish bon voyage to Santa Claus
when he leaves to deliver gifts
Santa Claus leaves for his long journey to deliver gifts to children of the world
in day before Christmas eve. We all can be wishing him bon voyage and at the
same time send Christmas greetings to all over the world.
Santa Claus begins his long journey from the Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi at 7 p.m. on the 23rd of December. All folk from near and far are welcome to the Arctic Circle to wish Santa Claus farewell as he starts his trip to give gifts to all the children of the world. Naturally, Santa will be taking his trip with a reindeer-drawn sleigh.
The atmosphere on the night before Christmas Eve is enhanced with the busy goings on of the elves and the greetings given to the Christmas folk of the world by Rovaniemi’s most famous inhabitant. A departing song for Santa Claus will be sung by the children’s choir of the Tezukayamaga Elementary School from Osaka, Japan. The choir arrives in Rovaniemi just before Christmas Eve to present their own donation to Unicef. In addition, the choir will hold two short concerts in the Santa Claus Village Gift House at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on 23 December.
